YWCA Durham is part of our country’s oldest and largest women’s multi-service organization, YWCA Canada, and exists in solidarity with the global YWCA movement, which serves 25 million women and girls throughout 125 countries while driving the international gender-based human rights agenda. Locally, YWCA Durham has a long 75+ year history in Durham Region. Over the years we have adapted our programming to meet the ever-changing needs of the women we serve.
Throughout the years of providing services to women and children who have experienced violence, we continue to change with the needs of our clientele. We are part of a large network of agencies in the region who offer support to women as they navigate their way through their journey. Our mandate is to help women and children and offer a safe and supportive space in which they can grow.
