Used Items

Due to the volume of used clothing donations, and our extremely limited storage space, we no longer accept donations of used clothing or household items. 

Please do not leave these items on our property, as they will be discarded if left unattended, and this is an added expense for us.

We suggest donating to the Mission Thrift Store at 1300 Simcoe St N (and Taunton) as they allow our clients to shop for what they need at no cost.

Cash Donations  

When you donate to YWCA Durham, you make it possible for us to deliver our many programs, including emergency shelter for women and children, and a 24-hour Crisis Line. A general donation allows us to apply funds as needed, where needed. Your gift helps us empower women every day. When you donate to us you are investing in the future of women and children who are victims of abuse and you are taking a stand against violence.  

Most importantly, when you donate to YWCA Durham, you truly become a part of changing lives, saving lives.

Donate Foreign Currency

Thanks to a partnership with Global Coin Solutions, you can now drop off your foreign currency to us and we can use it to fund our programs.

We accept any and all foreign currency, no matter how old. Drop off at 33 McGrigor Street in Oshawa from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. 

No tax receipts will be issued.
