Our unique properties are in the heart of Oshawa and include free parking, free WiFi, and table linens.
Venues are available any day and time of the week, subject to staffing and availability.
You are welcome to include catering of your choice–we do not have catering or supplies on hand. You can serve alcohol at your event, with the proper permit and insurance–we can guide you in that process.
We ask for full payment upon booking (long-term rentals can pay monthly) and a signed room rental agreement.

Consider our over-sized gymnasium with newly installed wood flooring, electronic basketball nets, and pickleball, basketball, volleyball, and badminton painted lines for your next team practice or tournament. The gym is used for all sports including softball practice, floor hockey, soccer, and general physEd. We’ve also hosted church services, town hall meetings, community events such as Take Back the Night, craft markets, and birthday parties.

YWCA Durham gratefully acknowledges the Ontario Trillium Foundation for a $97,100 grant that allowed us to install an air conditioning system in the gym in 2019. We also gratefully acknowledge MLSE Foundation for a $250,000 to renovate the gymnasium in 2020.
A large informal room across the hall from the gymnasium is ideal for meetings, Parent and Tot groups or children’s birthday parties.

Our most popular room for baby and bridal showers, the Drawing Room is elegant and spacious. Located in historic Adelaide House, built by Samuel McLaughlin, the room is perfect for business meetings, formal social affairs, and small weddings.
This beautiful room boasts a decorative hand-detailed marble fireplace, large bay window with a view of a courtyard, hardwood flooring, crown molding, and a period chandelier.

Wall to wall windows, dark oak paneling and decorative plaster ceiling adorn the historic Oak Room. The perfect setting for all types of intimate gatherings. A great meeting space for a Board of Directors, breakout room, or dining room to serve a buffet at your social event. Just next door to the Drawing Room, it provides an excellent overflow space. For small weddings we recommend booking both the Drawing and Oak rooms at a special combined rate of $120 per hour.

The formal elegance of this grand wrought iron staircase greets you near the front entrance of the Adelaide House Mansion, ushering you back in time to a graceful period, showcasing detailed craftsmanship of days gone by. The staircase continues to be a popular photography setting for engagement parties, anniversaries and staff socials.

Our Community Enrichment Centre is a hub of activity throughout the year, whether it’s our own small recreation program, or teams and groups that rent the space for physical fitness, or special community events. Centrally located in downtown Oshawa at 1 McGrigor Street, this building has a long history of offering family-friendly and community-minded happenings.
The building includes a Gym and Club Room available for rent.
Classes are taught by a black belt instructor using traditional style karate and include Fall, Winter and Spring Sessions.
Tuesday and Thursday

Adults (16+) 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
